Temperature Conversion

Here are the conversion equations to know

Temperature
Fahrenheit to Celsius

C = (F - 32)

Celsius to Fahrenheit

F = C + 32

Example 1: Fahrenheit to Celsius

Do the following conversions. Round to nearest tenth where necessary.
212 oF = oC

Plug Fahrenheit into the Fahrenheit-to-Celsius equation and solve.
C = (F - 32) = (212 - 32) =  100 oC

So, 212 oF = oC

Example 2: Celsius to Fahrenheit

Do the following conversions. Round to nearest tenth where necessary.
-12 oC = oF

Plug Celsius into the Celsius-to-Fahrenheit equation and solve.
F = C + 32 = (-12) + 32 =  10.4 oF

So, -12 oC = oF
