Randomly generated multiplication by 2 Q. How does MathScore cover math facts problems?

    A. See how this worksheet covers your 2s? MathScore can concentrate on a subset of the math facts at a time, and as a student progresses, the math problems become harder and more numerous. In fact, mastery of this topic is defined in our system as being able to get 50 out of 50 fully randomized math facts problems correct in 130 seconds.

Math problems adapt difficulty based on individual performance.

randomly generated triangle Q. Can MathScore generate complex math problems?

    A. Yes! In fact, the problem you see to your left was randomly generated by MathScore. Even the triangle was randomly rotated between 0 and 360 degrees. Imagine 30 students all working on the same math topic, but all with different math problems. They won't be able to copy off of each other.

MathScore provides unique math problems for every student.

    Solve.

    1. A train leaves Taipei at 2:00 pm, averaging 50 mph. Another train headed in the same direction leaves Taipei at 4:00 pm, averaging 70 mph. To the nearest minute, at what time will the second train overtake the first train?

    Q. What about word problems?

    A. The problem you see to your left was randomly generated by our system. We generate a variety of word problems to help students relate math to the real world.

    MathScore provides real-world math problems.

    Q. What are the solution explanations like?

    A. This math problem and explanation for trinomial factoring were generated by MathScore. Students often learn from the explanations, thus reducing the burden on teachers.

Step-by-step explanations for complex math problems enable rapid learning.

    Q. How do I track progress?

    A. Here is an activity summary, accessible from both a student account as well as a teacher account. This student logged in from home in the evening and mastered two topics (see the purple section). Overall, this student completed 393 problems and put in 15 minutes and 48 seconds of time spent, which is literally time on task doing timed worksheets rather than time just spent sitting at the computer.

Activity summaries provide a thorough understanding of each student's activities.

    Q. How do I view class progress for one topic?

    A. The class stats per topic feature shows you how well each student is doing with respect to one math topic. In this example, only one student has mastered the Fraction Simplification math topic, so it would be advisable for the teacher to review the concepts with some of the students.

MathScore makes it really easy to determine how well a whole class understands a math topic.
