 Note: All decimal place values end in "th"

There are 3 ways that you can express a number.
1. Standard form:   2358.85326
2. Expanded form:   2000 + 300 + 50 + 8 + 0.8 + 0.05 + 0.003 + 0.0002 + 0.00006
3. Word form:   two thousand three hundred fifty-eight and eighty-five thousand three hundred twenty-six hundred thousandths

Example 1: Identifying values

Type the value of the red digit. Example: 23.0442 = .04
1.   10.502
For 10.502, 0 is in the hundredths place.
In the expanded form, 10.502 = 10 + 0 + 0.5 + 0.00 + 0.002
So the value is 0.00.

2.   0.1927
For 0.1927, 7 is in the ten thousandths place.
In the expanded form, 0.1927 = 0.1 + 0.09 + 0.002 + 0.0007
So the value is 0.0007.

Example 2: Number forms

Type each number in standard form. Example: 2000 + 100 + 50 + 3 = 2,153
1.   8 + .07 + .002 + .0009 + .00007

2a.   nine and three hundred twenty-eight thousandths

 9 . 328 ← 8 is in the thousandths place ↑ ↑ ↑ nine and three hundred twenty-eight thousandths
 ( three hundred twety-eight thousandths = 328 1000 )

2b.   nine and twenty-eight thousandths

 9 . 028 ← 8 is in the thousandths place ↑ ↑ ↑ nine and twenty-eight thousandths
 ( twety-eight thousandths = 28  1000 )

2c.   nine and eight thousandths

 9 . 008 ← 8 is in the thousandths place ↑ ↑ ↑ nine and eight thousandths
 ( eight thousandths = 8   1000 )

### Complexity=2

Type each number in standard form. Example: 2000 + 100 + 50 + 3 = 2,153
 1.   twenty-four and twenty-one thousandths 2.   twenty-three and eight hundred forty-one thousandths

### Complexity=20

Type the value of the red digit. Example: 23.0442 = .04
 1.   59.0428 2.   37.0689

### Complexity=100

Type the value of the red digit. Example: 23.0442 = .04

### Complexity=500

Type the value of the red digit. Example: 23.0442 = .04
