After School Math Information
MathScore provides differentiated instruction to every student and makes it
exceptionally easy to monitor student usage and progress. With very minimal
training, you will enable any teacher or instructional aid to reliably
monitor math progress in your after school program.
Key benefits include:
- Easy to administer - Once the students log into their MathScore accounts,
they start doing math problems. The facilitator can simply walk around the
room to help students who need assistance.
- No installation - As long as your computers are connected to the Internet,
each student can log into MathScore with their username and password. They
can even use MathScore from home, the library, etc.
- Usage tracking - Every worksheet attempt and the time spent is recorded by
MathScore. With your teacher or admin account, you can easily see student
usage and mathematical progress, making it easy to provide reports to
administrators who need to see proof that your after school program is
enforcing a mathematics curriculum.
- Emphasis on basic skills - Nearly every school in the nation with low
performing students can point to basic skills as the major weakness. MathScore
helps kids with basic skills, especially multiplication and addition math
facts.
- Fun for students - When a group of students log into MathScore at
the same time, their competitive instincts take over. MathScore's system
of levels, ratings, cumulative score, and other rewards makes kids willing
to work hard on math, especially when they want to outperform each other.
