Associative Property 2
Completion of equations that demonstrate the associative property. For example, since 2 * (3 * 4) = 24, (2 * 3) * 4 = 24.
This topic aligns to the following state standards
Grade 3: * Model and use the commutative and associative properties for addition and multiplication.
Grade 4: * Use associative and distributive properties to simplify and perform computations; e.g., use left to right multiplication and the distributive property to find an exact answer without paper and pencil, such as 5 x 47 = 5 x 40 + 5 x 7 = 200 + 35 = 235.
Grade 5: * Use commutative, associative, distributive, identity and inverse properties to simplify and perform computations.
